Project briefs for architects and designers increasingly specify the inclusion of WELL building standards & BREEAM evidential requirements. HYVERT can play an integral part in achieving these coveted accreditations & recognition.
HYVERT can be added to an existing space with the minimum of disruption to existing infrastructure, making it suitable for retrospective installation.
Each HYVERT installation is uniquely determined by both building and climatic conditions. At this critical consultation stage, we can prepare DWG files/sketch-ups and other supporting documentation which takes into consideration weight loadings and any structural limitations.
Our clients are always welcomed at our nursery. We invite clients to come and have a check in on the growing progress of their HYVERT living wall, an enjoyable part of the HYVERT experience.
And more information on how HYVERT can help meet with building sustainability accreditations can be found here.
Our HYVERT Living Wall System can be easily adapted to suit location, be that external or internal and for internal installations, receiving the correct level of light matters immensely.
It is a common misconception to assume that full artificial light will equate the same as full natural daylight, unfortunately it would still be lacking in the colour composition that the plants need.
Even when plants are in close proximity to natural light via windows and skylights, this glass may have an external coating, which refracts some of the lighting away.
So for this reason, to ensure the optimum health and growth of our HYVERT living walls, we can install a specialist lux/lumens lighting system that will provide the correct colour spectrum of light required.
This correct level of light will ensure that photosynthesis is achieved.
(Photosynthesis in Plants: a biological process where light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds)
I Want Plants Limited - HYVERT® living wall system is fully fire performance tested, in accordance with the relevant test standard required to classify the system using BS EN 13501: 2018.
As part of the rigorous fire performance testing process, multiple scenarios were simulated to reflect ‘real life’ situations to ensure that the product strictly adheres to British Standards required.
For example, was HYVERT regularly serviced? Wild? Wet/dry? Live/dead? With established roots or young plants and many more.
In total, almost 30 tests were conducted. On each occasion, with new tweaks and improvements following analysis of the previous test data result.
HYVERT living wall system has passed modern fire testing in both system options (HYVERT and HYVERT Plus).
The fire-testing results were as follows:
HYVERT - Our more naturally sustainable option which has not been chemically fire-treated and therefore making it more viable for recycling, has achieved C-s2, d0.
HYVERT Plus - Our chemically fire-treated option, has achieved a maximum assessment score of B-s2, d0 for external applications.
Testing was carried out by Warringtonfire.
