Our HYVERT ‘Living Lab’ site at The Manchester Metropolitan University All Saints campus has amongst other things, been designed to collect and recycle rain and wastewater with the aim of making our HYVERT living walls net zero water in operation.
And the latest results clearly demonstrate that this large 30 sqm HYVERT has successfully utilised only recycled water for the past 7 weeks whilst still maintaining a healthy arrangement of plants.
For perspective, that’s equivalent to the average person in the UK’s water consumption being offset for 42 days!
Which means we can contribute to Manchester’s Integrated Water Management Plan by improving water overflow reduction and supporting an increase in flood resilience.
