March 2022 and we’re excitedly planning our Trade Stand for the forthcoming Northern Restaurant and Bar Show taking place at Manchester Central mid-month.
March 2022 marks two years since the launch of our living wall invention HYVERT back in 2020 and we’ve had great pleasure installing it onto internal and external façades up and down the country ever since. It also marks two years since the arrival of a pandemic which forced us all to live, work and behave very differently.
So this blog isn’t intended to dwell on this deeply challenging period, more a focus on the resilience of our clients to get through it with imagination, determination and optimism.
It’s very difficult for us to single out specific clients and projects as there have been so many in all business sectors we operate in, but to coincide with the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show, we’re focussing on our Hospitality clients.
One of the first trends we saw emerging was the reinvention of external spaces, eg. waterproof canopies with their frame structures disguised by artificial greenery. At a time of year when we were all more used to being indoors, our Hospitality clients were embracing and maximising outside terraced space availability.
Artificial Green Infrastructure has continued to be a popular addition especially since it provides an economic and low maintenance alternative to live, whilst still having the same visual appeal.
Nonetheless, with a new, increased awareness of mental wellbeing and air-cleaning benefits of Live Green Infrastructure, we have also installed a number of Hospitality projects where sustainability and increased bio-diversity was top of the Agenda.
And as hospitality doors re-opened to inside socialising, we’ve experienced a vast increase in Hospitality Interior Design enquiries looking for ‘something different’, bespoke, memorable; a spot where the perfect pic, destined for social media pages can be taken.
Whether these custom installations have been solely green in colour or a vibrant splash of colour, they’ve brought us as much joy creating them as they have for our clients, being installed!
Post project, we love to hear from our clients on how their project has been received…
“I Want Plants have been fantastic to work with, they’ve delivered a beautiful selection of both real and artificial plants, helping us to liven up and bring joy to various spaces across our venues in Shoreditch, Victoria and Cheltenham. Whether it’s the design and installation of our stunning artificial floral wall in the Magic Gardens roof terrace, or planters drawing customers into our venues; the team are a delight to work with and we’re thrilled with what they deliver.” Red Engine (Flight Club, Electric Shuffle)
“We’ve worked with I Want Plants on a number of projects across our estate and at our team HQ. They’re a great bunch to work with and we’ve always been impressed by the excellent quality of planting used – whether real or artificial. Our Christmas installations at San Carlo Manchester have been particularly impressive – helping us to make an on-brand impact, surprising and delighting both regular customers, passers-by and of course, via photography we’ve been able to reach out to customers new and old via our digital channels.” San Carlo Restaurant Group
