On the most glorious of sunny days – Saturday, 14 May, THE ROC Wales took place and we couldn’t have been more excited to be one of the event sponsors.
THE ROC Endurance Triathlon comprises three UK Triathlon events each year, (England, Scotland and Wales) and Wales was the first.
Starting off on Abersoch’s beautiful beach and with Mount Snowdon visible in the distance, ROC Challengers needed to swim, cycle and climb to reach Snowdon’s Summit, before descending back down the craggy terrain on-foot, ready for another cycle and a final brutal run along Abersoch beach with THE ROC Finish-line in their sights.
Arriving the day before, I Want Plants Custom Installations Team were tasked with dressing the Finish-line, ensuring it looked worthy of all the physical and mental endurance displayed by ROC participants.
The Finish-line included Podium, DJ Booth and an ‘Insta’ photo back-drop ready for all those deservedly proud and euphoric pics.
Here at I Want Plants, we firmly believe that a positive attitude, getting outdoors (and being close to nature), is fundamental to both physical and mental wellbeing. THE ROC symbolises this ideology too which is why we were delighted to be one of the event sponsors.
Swim – Bike – Mountain – Bike – Run
This event was definitely not for the faint-hearted – even the training beforehand takes incredible dedication and determination so we were glad to be there to cheer all the competitors on.
AND we’re looking forward to providing the same ‘Custom Installations’ assistance for ROC England (16.7.22) and ROC Scotland (8.10.22) later this year.
