The Co-op Steeple Claydon

The Co-op Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire is our third project for this house-hold brand. Another new Co-op store which will be powered by 100% renewable energy. Approaching this new build The Co-op call it a 'cradle to cradle approach'. This means that between 80-100% of all materials used eg. foundations, glazing and cladding have the capacity to be re-used within a future new build. Just one approach which will assist them in meeting their carbon reduction ambitions to be NetZero by 2040.

With many more sustainable initiatives in place, including re-using energy expended by fridges to re-heat the store, the addition of FOUR HYVERT living walls externally, will also provide extra insulation whilst at the same time reducing air pollutants and boosting biodiversity.
