Assura plc

As members of the World Green Building Council, Assura plc have committed to only owning, occupying and developing net zero carbon assets by 2030.

In keeping with this environmental strategy, they recently moved their HQ from Warrington to 3 Barrington Road premises in Altrincham.

With plans to renovate and refurbish, to make it a modern and welcoming environment, while also boosting the environmental performance of the building and well-being amenity for their staff.

The planting scheme for Assura plc consisted of purely live varieties both internally and externally with the new introduction of a HYVERT living wall too.

The plant containers for this project were purposefully selected to reflect and harmonise with the company brand colours.

This approach was used for both internal plants and external trees and shrubs.

Reception area plants included both floor-standing alongside smaller plants positioned upon an open-plan framework.

Cluster planting in the same coloured pots was then repeated throughout Assura’s new workspace to create a cohesive biophilic planting scheme.

The plants can be enjoyed by all workspace occupants, bring them closer to nature and improve the air quality.

Demonstrating further attention to biophilic detail and purely for Assura staff benefit, even the staff carpark was complimented by trough planting, approximately 35m in total length; to brighten up an otherwise generic external space.

Our thanks to Assura for this project opportunity and a very kind testimonial – see below.

“I Want Plants delivered a fantastic array of plants for our new office space. Placement, branded pot colours and plant variety were all considered and come together to create a fresh and welcoming feel. For our external space they provide new planters, created a feature living wall and provided elevated planting to draw your attention when you enter our car park, overall we had a fantastic experience from first point of contact through design and installation and now have an uplifting environment for our staff and visitors”.
