Visual appeal, increased biodiversity and improved mental health and well-being were all major factors in this refurbishment.
Located in Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, an investment by Bruntwood SciTech has meant the Liverpool Science Park and their Sciontec Partners are now the proud owners of a stunningly refurbished building, called IC1.
This fantastic project with masses of green infrastructure included TWO HYVERT living walls, (internal and external), an artificial living wall and a planting scheme internally that blended both live and artificial varieties seamlessly.
The HYVERT living wall to the ground floor elevation merged into our artificial variety, ensuring maximum impact and visual presence is maintained.
Besides the fantastic internal HYVERT living wall (above), the interior design for IC1 consisted of a variety of plant container frameworks, which helped to define different workspaces within the communal area.
Live plants included Zamioculcas, Monstera, Philodendrons, Scindapsus Aureum and Aglaonema
A variety of coloured/textured containers were also used adding further design detail.
Artificial plants featured Aspleniums, Lyrata and Boston Ferns.
A further ‘green’ design feature included a steel framework suspended from the ceiling which was filled with artificial trailing foliage. – A great way to add more plant features without the need to use valuable desk/floor space.
All the live plants and both HYVERT living walls will be regularly maintained by our Plant Technicians to keep them looking their absolute best.
