Ever since our first consultation with Qbic Manchester’s Interior Design Team and seeing their exciting plans and CGI’s for the Hotel (many months ago), we have loved being a part of this fabulous Hotel’s inception.
The Hotel is laden with planting at every turn, from the entrance to the ceiling, table decor, backdrops and the outdoor terrace. The planting has been an integral part of the interior design.
The careful repurposing of the John Dalton Building in Manchester has been thoughtfully delivered, resulting in Qbic achieving a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) rating of ‘Very Good’.
#StayGreen is their mantra and their website lists eighteen examples of how they are demonstrating daily this environmentally friendly ethos.
A Biophilic planting scheme played a fundamental part in their green vision and this is evident throughout the ground floor communal areas – lounge, restaurant and bar.
Where live planting schemes would not have been viable, our premium quality replica plants were used instead. Our artificial living wall providing a striking backdrop.
Qbic’s wall coverings and soft furnishings are sumptuously coloured and contrast beautifully with the mixed green foliage.
Our artificial vine garlands are perfect for their wire framework, creating attractive screening and we LOVE these light fittings which set off our striking plants perfectly.
So much personality and attention to detail!
The Qbic Bar and Restaurant: MOTLEY continues the sumptuous planting on the outside terrace. Live planting in troughs, planters also baths!
The troughs provide privacy and a stylish perimeter whilst at the same time increasing bio diversity in this busy part of Central Manchester.
It’s been wonderful working with a hotel that has sustainability and reducing it’s carbon footprint right at the heart.
