When historic country pub, The Bird in Hand in Knowl Hill, Berkshire needed their pretty gabled entrance refurbishing, there was only route to take – rambling blossom!
Working with the pub’s Butcombe Brewery and their Interior Designers, Concorde BGW Group, the brief was to create a replica pink blossom tree that would grow up the left of the entrance and around the pub’s signage.
Over the course of two days, our Custom Installations Tree-making technicians built the tree on site.
From an anchored terracotta pot, weather-treated Manzanita wood was assembled and shaped to create a trunk, followed by Ghostwood branches with Pink Blossom which were then attached to create the climbing tree shape.
To complete the project, a pair of matching aged Terracotta pots planted with 1.7m Bay ‘lolly-pop’ trees were installed which framed the entrance beautifully.
